Very cute interior, and more spacious than expected. Public parking in the shopping center lots or street parking. We didn't need reservations but we came around 2:00 on a Saturday. We got the street noodles, mango boba, matcha boba, and healthy rolls--which was more than enough for the two of us. The prices are a bit steep ($7-10 for non alcoholic drinks) and $20+ for entree. I would order the healthy rolls again but the street noodles were not my favorite. Waiter was nice. Would return to try some other things, but a bit pricey.
Came here early dinner, everything was delicious and good. Very cutesy place especially for valentines month, they had extra decor it. We greeted and seated when we walked in. Got a friendly server, he was able to answer some questions we had. Food was delicious, it had a different mix into it without straying away from the original dish itself. Everything was served fresh and hot. One of the dishes we ordered was on their monthly or limited menu (forgot which one). Crab ragoon was delicious and crispy. Beef Noodle was flavorfully beefy. It looks like pho but it doesn't taste like it. The soup is a bit on the oily side, just in case y'all dont like that. The Lychee Duck Curry was a surprise for us because of how well the lychee blended well into the curry as it was a bit spicy. And it had pineapples too I believe. It had a good amount of protein, equally with fruit/veggies. Though for me, I need a little bit more rice for the amount of serving bowl of the curry. As for the drinks we had lychee thai tea and thai coffee which was both good. Lychee thai tea was refreshing, while thai coffee was a good punch (probably best with boba, which i didnt get).
It was packed yall!!! The service initially was not the best. We had to ask for our waiter after we sat and weren't waited on for 15 mins. However, that aside, the food was so freaking good. Everything from the appetizer to the main entrees were legit chef's kiss. I even got a Thai tea that was to die for. I will most definitely come back again for the food. The ambience is also beautiful!! Who doesn't love cherry blossom season!?!?
First time here & we will definitely be back :) The food was delicious! Our group got the Crispy Salmon Roll to start, the pad Thai, chicken fried rice, lemon chicken & the crispy duck basil as entrees all were phenomenal & flavorful! Finished it off with the chocolate lava cake (and I forget the other desserts name but it was on special this weekend) both were delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful! Also we loved how cute the decor of the restaurant was. Can't wait to come back!
This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorites in the area. The lively atmosphere, enhanced by beautiful floral décor, creates a welcoming ambiance. Seating options include tables, booths, and a well-stocked bar with a wide variety of drinks. Although reservations aren't accepted, we were seated within 20 minutes, with nearby stores to explore while waiting. We started with the Crispy Fried Calamari, served with sweet chili sauce. Our entrées included the Lychee Duck Curry, offering a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors; the Crispy Whole Flounder with tamarind chili sauce; and the classic Pad See Ew with beef, all of which were delicious. The Thai tea was also excellent. The extensive drink and cocktail menu is worth trying, and the dessert menu features pastries, waffles, ice cream, and sticky rice. I haven't tried the desserts yet but plan to on my next visit.
This restaurant is super top tier and serves amazing Thai food!! The inside is decorated so well and they were able to easily sit our party of 12 (including 2 kids)! The staff are also very attentive, kind, and helpful. We did family-style and ordered a BUNCH of dishes and almost all of them were amazing! (Only complaint is the lamb in the massaman curry was a little tough and cold on the middle of each piece, but we forgave them because of the rest of the dishes haha) My personal favorites were the Cry Baby Noodles, Guay-Tiew Tom Yum, Lychee Duck Curry, and the Dok Khao Pad Thai. My brother-in-law, who lived in Thailand for 2 years, chose all the dishes and loved them all. This is THE place to eat when you're in Woodbridge and craving Thai food. It's a beautiful and very authentic restaurant that deserves more recognition!
Came back for another round with my friends! We all got he lychee thai tea cause it sounded yummy but...it just tasted like lychee iced tea with a slight thai tea aftertaste. I got the crybaby noodles and it was SO GOOD! I love the crunch from the celery and using thick noodles (pad see ew noodles) with red tofu, sausage, and shrimp was such a good combination. The sauce was light and mixed really well. My friend got the guay tiew tom yum and she really liked it! She chowed down fast and from the spoonful of soup I tasted, I thought it was really yummy. My friend got the dok khao pad thai with flank steak and she liked it! It was a good amount of spice for me and I thought the flavors blended in well with each other. We all shared the mango parfait for desert--it was basically like a deconstructed parfait on a plate. The sticky rice was very yummy and the fruits fresh. Downside was that the mango ice cream just tasted like vanilla and grabbing the mango from the way the cut it (seems to prioritize plating than function here cause I would've preferred slices) was so hard.
We love this place! Food is always fresh and delicious. Wonton soup is so yum! We got the dumplings as well and they give you a hefty side of dumpling sauce! Kids fried rice is a massive portion, as well as the other dish portions. We take it home and have the leftovers for dinner. Service is great, and I love the greenery all around the restaurant. Very clean bathrooms also. Menu items are a little pricey so we don't come here often as a family of 6. Other than that we just love coming here.
Amazing Thai Food with Incredible Service! Don Khao exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the decorations and ambiance were absolutely on point, setting the perfect mood for our dining experience. The food? Simply amazing. We started with the larb gai, which was a heavenly blend of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors--truly a flavor explosion you can't imagine until you taste it. We also tried the duck rolls, which were delicious but could use a bit less breading and more duck to really shine. The street noodles were regular degular, but the Pad Ka Pow was solid and one of the better versions compared to others in the area. The true star of the night was the soft-shell crab curry--WOW! When I say we ate every last bite, I mean it. Nothing on that plate was spared! This dish alone is reason enough to visit Don Khao. What made the experience even more special was that I brought my older family members, who have a very traditional Vietnamese palette and don't usually stray far from familiar cuisines. They were thoroughly impressed and left highly satisfied, even recommending a return visit. If you're looking for incredible Thai food paired with an awesome ambiance, Don Khao is the place to go. Usually, you get one or the other, but Don Khao delivers both flawlessly. Highly recommend stopping by!
